Join us for a special evening, with a performance by Chaz Prymek’s Solid Air Ensemble, followed by discussion between Prymek and artist Alexandra Fuller, whose work is on display at Kimball Art Center in both Returning to Wonder and All Sketches Wish To Be Real.

Solid Air Ensemble is an electroacoustic comprovisational ensemble out of the Salt Lake Valley, featuring nationally renowned musicians and members of Lake Mary, Fuubutsushi, Pinyonpine, Dante LeRae, and more. They will be performing a new comprovised work based on All Sketches Wish To Be Real, using musical improvisation as a means of exploring what it means to create something new together and the idea of imagining what could be. They view collective improvisation as not only an approach to creating music, but as an approach to everyday life: working together towards something greater than oneself, leaning into strength and lifting up where another may lack. For this performance, using modular synths, brass instruments, guitars, and more, the group will create a new work together in the present.
